CaratLane Signature Store at New Delhi’s South Extension- Launch

Hey Guys,

On the 9th December, 2017 I was invited to the launch of the biggest and the signature store of India. Caratlane is a Tanishq partnership opened their 30th store in India at Delhi’s South Extension. Well it was very cold that day but there was no way that those cold breezes could keep me from attending the launch of this fabulous store.

This store is CaratLane’s largest and first signature store in New Delhi; spread across 1800 sq ft. Situated in the fashion hub of the city, the store has a warm and welcoming ambience that is sure to amaze its customers. “Being our 30th Store launch and our first Signature store in North India, at CaratLane South Extension you will find the largest and widest collection of exquisite designs. With an elegant decor along with bright settings this CaratLane store is bound to offer you a memorable jewellery buying experience. With an exclusive Solitaire Lounge to assist you with all the solitaire queries, a Customization Desk to turn your dream jewellery into reality, the virtual try-on ‘magic mirror’ for those ‘just looking’ moments, our Signature Store will indulge you all the way.” Mithun Sacheti, Founder & CEO CaratLane  said, while speaking about the launch.

Store Address:
F-41, First Floor, South Extension – 1

Contact: 9899002555

Lets talk a bit about their collection:-

There is no doubt that the store is huge and beautiful but nothing can beat the amazing pieces of jewellery. I was most impressed by their Jaipur, butterfly and floral collection. Being bought up in Jaipur I was blown away by the detailing of the collection. The Hawa Gulabi Jharokha Ring from the Jaipur collection was my absolute favourite. It did remind me of home. The butterfly collection was a huge hit amongst everyone. The pendents, rings and earrings could make for a beautiful set and stunning pieces on their own.

I am posting a few pictures of the store and their collection for you to enjoy. DSC_4221-A.jpgDSC_4196-A (1).jpg1512845168548IMG_20171210_002414_324IMG_20171210_002414_326IMG_20171210_002414_323.jpgIMG_20171209_121437_615.jpg

Euphorbia Box December 2017

Hola beautiful people,

Last month I was very disappointed by the Euphorbia box and had expressed how the box was just not worth it. But December’s box is a very pleasant surprise 😊. This month is indeed a Christmas gift and I believe it’s an absolute steal.

Euphorbia box- Review

I love trying out beauty boxes and I am always on a lookout for new and affordable ones.

In the month of October I saw a few of my friends review a new box that was super affordable and with an impressive selection of products in the October box.

So I placed order for the box, they were sold out for the October month and I just got my first box in November.

This blog is to review the Euphorbia box.

IMG_6151.JPG

Here is a little bit about the box from their website. Euphorbia box is a small, family-owned start-up company. The box is designed to help users explore the world of beauty & skin care products and discover their favorite products in a convenient, effortless and affordable way.

Lets take a look November’s Euphorbia Box-

Packaging-

It is a simple carboard box with Euphorbia box written in blue with the products nicely bubble wrapped inside.

I like the simplicity of the packaging.IMG_6155.JPGIMG_6181.JPG

Price-

I got this box at the launching price of Rs 199. This months box is now available for Rs 248IMG_6165

Products-IMG_6162.JPG

1. Ang-Tatva Kaya Tatva Scrub-off (Rs 345 for 75g)

This herbal scrub looks interesting and I look forward to trying this product, however I am surprised that manufacturing date is not mentioned on this product. It has a very strong scent of turmeric but I don’t mind that.IMG_6167.JPGIMG_6171.JPG

2. HM Have More Dry Matte Nail Polish (Rs 299)

From the packaging the nail paint does not look very expensive as the print and the bottle looks cheap so I am bit surprised that the product retails for Rs 299. The colour is red and I am not too excited about the product.IMG_6173.JPG

3. BioBloom Face Wash (Rs 160 for 30ml)

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting any sample products in the box as there were none in he October box. This sample size product is paraben ans sulphate free which is definitely a good thing but, it is too tiny to impress me.IMG_6176.JPG

4. Duft Facial Wipes (Rs 79 for 25wipes)

They are alcohol and paraben free wipes and I can’t complain about them.IMG_6179.JPG

5. Mama Earth Sunscreen SPF 20+ (sample size of 7ml)

This was a bummer. This sample size product is for children of age 0-5 years so not useful for me at all. I mean I am sure not all the people ordering this box are people with children so, including this tiny sample as a product is just ridiculous. IMG_6178.JPG

My verdict

At this time I am just scared because I ordered a 3 months subscription and I am dreading the next two month’s boxes. Overall I am disappointed with the selection of products available in the November box especially when I compare it with the impressive product range that were available in the month of October. This month’s box was just boring. It just failed in every aspect possible. I am struggling to call the box average. I hope the curators can make the December box full of surprises.

Hope you found this review helpful. Please leaves your thoughts about the box in the comments below.

Let’s Patch Things up-Part 2

In my last post Lets Patch things up- part 1, I wrote about the latest trend of badges, patches, brooches and pins and how to style your clothing using this trend. This post is on styling accessories and shoes using badges, patches, brooches and pins.

screenshot_2016-04-14-18-39-59-1

  1. Trendy Bags:-

Back when I was in school we use to put badges on our backpack for the cool kids effect. Back then there were not many choices when it came to badges and patches. Smiley faces in round shape were easily available. Later came the badges with our favourite superhero emblems and TV stars (I remember owning a few Hannha Montana badges) but the shape was still round.

Now with the wide variety of designs and shapes being available, decorating your backpack is super easy. Big brands are embracing the patch trend and decorating their purses, totes, pouches, slings and clutches too.

Brands like Karl Lagerfeld and Gucci have  also been using patches and badges lately to stay on trend and make their bags unique.

2. Caps/ Beanies/Hats:-

80s hair and head accessories have had a major fashion influence. Bikers and sports fan have always been seen rocking patches on their caps. But now its not just limited to bikers and sports fans or caps.

Putting 2 or 3 pins on a beanie is a great way to style this up.  You can also sew on a few patches on your favorite hat to match your outfit or location.pilled-up6c366f77f17ed0ccc2a02598278687db

3. Shoes:-

Patches can be put on any footwear – from boots to bellies and from heels to flats.

DIY your old pair of loafers or sneakers by sewing on some fun patches. Your boots can be given a whole new look by loading them with pins. For example, you can put the GAME OVER patch on your shoes for a great effect.tendencia-parches-zapatillas-renzo-costa-blogScreenshot_2016-04-17-10-28-54-1.png

Summer festival look and essentials

Hello everyone,
Summer is here and it’s the festive time!! We all love fashion, music and a mix of all that jazz.
I bring to you all the essentials that you need to look fabulous and chill at a summer music festival.

1) Sunnies:-
It’s summers and the sun is shinning high. I’m sure you girls want to enjoy this season instead of walking partially blinded in the sun. Wear a cool pair of sunglasses preferably a one with bright and colourful frames. They protect you from UV rays and are the coolest accessory available.

image

2) Caps/Hats:-
Hats and caps are the cutest head accessories possible. There are a huge variety, designs and colors available to match any possible outfit. It also shields you from the harsh harmful sun rays.

image

3) Footwear:-
Your feet need all the rest they can get as you have to do a lot of walking. Choose your most comfortable pair of heels or nice boots. Wedges or block heels would be a very good option

image

4) Accessories:-
The best accessories for a summer festival are hats and sunglasses as discussed earlier. If you are all about accessories go for a bunch of bracelets and a choker. Don’t go for a statement piece of jewellery as it would be hot and not comfortable at all.

image

5) Clothing:-
The temperatures are going to be hitting the roof so it’s the perfect time to pull out those shorts, skirts, backless tops and short dresses. A cute little flowy Bohemian dress would be great for the day. For colors it would be better to go for whites and pastel colors. Don’t go for dark colors as they absorb a lot of heat.

Also remember to keep yourself hydrated as this is the only thing that will keep you pumped up the entire day.

My favourite date Look !!

Hey everyone,

It’s never just dinner when you going to meet someone you are trying to impress. It is the second date when you want to be fabulous but not look like u r trying to hard. In that case go for this particular look!

image

So, here is how to play it cool!!

Dress:-

Wear a short dress, preferably black!! If you wear a Gaun it will be trying to hard. Don’t make it formal. Keep it as casual as possible. Black is the perfect choice of color as it is good for every occasion and makes everyone look perfect.

This is a little black dress is from CODE by lifestyle!!

image

Shoes:-

Wear Heels!!! A girl looks elegant, stylish, tall and invisible in heel. In order to play it cool don’t forget you are on a date and you are there to make a statement. Black or nude heels would be perfect. You can also wear red heels if you are planning on wearing red accessories.

image

Accessories:-

You want to be the one doing all the talking not your over the top accessories. Remember you are playing it cool. Wear a statement necklace or a pair of statement earrings. Wearing both a necklace and earrings can be a bad idea as it will shift all the attention to your accessories instead of your face.
This chunky bead necklace is from Accessorize.

image

Makeup:-

The makeup depends on the location of your date. Don’t forget to carry your compact and lipstick in your bag.
With this particular look I would never miss my bright red lipstick.
One of my favourite lipsticks is MAYBELLINE REBEL BOUQUET in shade REB04

image

And finally the thing you need to do is enjoy yourself!!! Have fun. Hope you find love!!

Hope I could be of some help and if you think the same don’t forget to leave a comment!!
