9th Jagran Film Festival | #PureCinema

After its huge success last year Jagran flim Festival is back. It is not like any other film festival, it is a celebration of good and meaningful cinema. It is a place where talent from all over the world is appreciated. It is a medium of bringing the very best films to all of us.

The 9th edition of Jagran Film Festival will start on the 29th of June, 2018 from Delhi, traveling through Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Meerut, Agra, Gorakhpur, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Ludhiana, Hissar, Raipur, Dehradun and finally culminates in Mumbai. This makes it geographically the largest film festival perhaps in the world.

Jagran Film festival is different from other film festivals as this one is very interactive. The cast and crew of various movies travels to the venues of the premiers and have interactive sessions with the audience. They also have a workshop where legends of Indian cinema share tips and experiences with everyone. This year you get to interact with Ram Gopal Verma on 1st July after the screening of his spectacular film Satya.

The 9th Jagran Film festival will be in our city New Delhi from 29th June to 3rd July, 2018. Don’t forget to catch over 100+ screenings at the amazing venue of Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.

I am attaching the screening schedule of all the days for your reference:

My recommendations:

From mainstream Indian cinema to off beat documentaries and short films, from Indian regional languages to Internationally acclaimed movies… there is a lot to choose from. My recommendations to you would be October,S Durga, Satya, English Vinglish, Bucket List, Ribbon, Las Acacias, Maya, Cleek and Calendar. I love that there is theme based sections and we can pick and choose any movie in any auditorium at a particular day.

If you are a fan of pure, meaningful, entertaining cinema this is the place to be. I think of it as a medium to observe and enjoy the cultures of various cities and countries. I am looking forward to seeing you there 🙂

Love- Barkha
