My envy box Review- October, 2016- Third Anniversary edition!!

I was desperately waiting for my October envy box as it was the anniversary edition and I was to receive extra 3 products. So, you can imagine my excitement when it finally showed up on my door steps. This month, My Envy Box turns three. Without further ado let’s take a look at the products that I received in my birthday month’s box.

October 2016 3rd Anniversary My Envy Box

This month’s box is plain white in color with the envy box logo in the center and turns three printed underneath. The reason why the box is plain is because there is a color me contest going on where in you have to do something fun and creative on the box in order to win loads of prizes.

Products received:-

1.      AYCA- Jasmine Body Wash:- (100ml for INR 438/-)

This is a mild, foaming gel cleanser for all skin types. It’s a natural product made from coconut derivatives. Coconut is said to be very nourishing for your skin and it also helps break down makeup. Therefore I am excited to try it out and see how it works out.

2.      Forest Essentials- Facial Cleansing Paste:- (15g for INR 925/-)

Forest essential is one of my favorite brands. This cleansing paste contains ingredients like Almonds, Pistachio, fresh Turmeric, Buttermilk, Floral waters, organic Honey and fresh Aloe leaf juice.

3.      Vert- Loose Powder:- (10g for INR 1250/-)

This is the only makeup product in the box. It is a handmade loose powder made out of natural ingredients like rose petals and French clay. This versatile powder can be used as eye shadow, highlighter or a blush.

4.      VICHY Ideal White Brightening Deep Cleansing Foam:- (15ml for INR 230/-)

VICHY is one of the most trusted and most widely used skin care brand. This cleansing foam leaves the skin feeling refreshed, flawless, luminous and radiant.

 

5.      Nertia- Nail Art :- (1 pack for INR 80/-)

These are basically nail stickers that are being marketed as dry nail polish that lasts up to 7 days.

As this was the third year anniversary box I also received 3 extra sample sized products which are as follows:

1.      BABOR – HSR lifting:-

This is an anti aging extra firming cream.

2.      Skin Yoga- Neem Purifier:-

This is a post workout anti bacterial body purifier.

3.      BIODERMA- Photoderm AKN Mat SPF 30:-

This is a sunscreen lotion sample for oily skin.

MY VIEWS OF THIS MONTH’S BOX:-

There was a lot of anticipation regarding this month’s box as we were told in the emails that October envy box will be full of surprises and we will receive 8 products in the box.

Also I am quite excited about the COLOUR ME CONTEST. We basically have to be creative and color the white box to stand a chance to win products worth Rs 3000/-.

Talking about the products I am extremely excited about trying the Forest Essentials Facial Cleansing Paste, Vert Loose Powder and VICHY Ideal White Brightening Deep Cleansing Foam. The AYCA Jasmine Body Wash smells amazing. I am a bit skeptical about Nertia nail art as the idea of a nail sticker lasting 7 days does not sound right to me.

About the extra 3 products BABOR HSR lifting cream is the most necessary thing for me as I just entered my late twenties a few days ago. Skin Yoga products have never disappointed me and I am sure this won’t disappoint me too. The Bioderma sunscreen was no surprise to me as I have literally received it in all my boxes.

To conclude the October My Envy Box is something you cannot afford to miss. It is just spectacular.

Skin Yoga Oats And Rose Face Wash – Review!!

So I just tried a new face wash/scrub and wanted to talk to all of you about it. Skin Yoga Oats and rose face wash is a product curated by the brand Skin Yoga.
A 100% natural skin care brand, Skin Yoga has been loved by Indians since its launch.
Today I’m going to review their Oats And Rose Face Wash.

For Toning and cleansing:-
Rose petals are considered to be a natural toner and an excellent sunblock. Oats contains natural cleansers that remove dirt and oil from the pores without causing irritation. This Vitamin C enriched combination with real rose petals will leave your skin feeling protected, clean and toned.

Oats powder, Rose powder, Rose petals, Vitamin C extracts

Packaging
The packaging is extremely cute. The Skin Yoga Oats and Rose Face Wash comes in a cute tiny glass bottle which is sealed by a cork. The glass bottle makes it easy to keep track of the quantity of the product. The glass bottle comes is placed in an absolutely adorable wooden box.

Cost
Its priced at 1,450.00 INR for 50g product.

Color,Texture, Smell and Shelf Life
Color– Pale pink with hints of brown
Texture– mildly granular
Smell– It smells of roses
Shelf Life– 6 months

Skin Type Synopsis
All skin types

Directions of use
For Daily Face Wash:-
Take approximately 1 tsp of the powder in cupped hand. Add few drops of water to make a paste. Apply to face and massage gently into the skin.Rinse thoroughly.

Pros
-Excellent packaging
-Pleasant Fragrance of roses
-Vitamin C enriched
-Suitable for all skin types
-Gentle exfoliators therefore great for daily usage

Cons
-Packaging is not travel friendly as the glass bottle can break or spill
-Extremly costly
-Mild explanation is not helpful for coarse skin types.

My Experience with Skin Yoga Oats and Rose Face Wash
The product is a 100% natural product. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. It’s very easy to use and just a small quantity of product does the job.
The face wash is enriched with vitamin C which is great for your skin. Vitamin C provides glow to your skin.
The scrub is very gentle on the skin and has mild exfoliators. Therefore it’s great of sensitive skin and daily usage. I have a lot of black and white eads on my nose and chin therefore mild exfoliation doesn’t work that well for me.

Will I buy this product again?
Although the product is nice I would probably not buy it again because this extremely expensive product does nothing for my skin.
I’d give the product 3/5 stars
