MARCH FAVOURITES 2017!!

With the temperatures rising suddenly, march turned out to be the most uncomfortable month ever. But there are a few good things that came out of the month of march. Skin care and makeup excites me and I love sharing my passion with you guys.

Here are a few of the products that I really enjoyed this month. I hope you will try these too and share your thoughts with me.

1. LANCOME Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate:-

As soon as we girls hit our mid twenties, the anti aging battle begins. When it comes to high end brands, LANCOME has always been my favourite. I trust their products and have never been afraid to try them. Advanced Genifique boosts signs of youthfulness and helps skin’s recovery during the day and night.

the serum is suitable for all skin types for women of multiple ethnicities and ages. I have been using the concentrate for about an year now and have absolutely been loving it. It is expensive (Rs 5,982.39/- for 30 ml) but worth every penny.

To  read a complete review of this product click here.2. Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, Bold Metals Collection, Essentials Brush Kit, 3 Brushes set:-

Everyone is aware that Real Techniques makes the best affordable makeup tools. Their Bold Metals collection is amazing. The synthetic bristles are super soft and compactly packed, they look great and do an amazing job.

The bold collection is quite expensive as compared to the other makeup brushes by Real Techniques Sam and Nic collection but trust me, they are worth stretching your wallet a little bit more. They  look beautiful  and do a great job of making you look beautiful 🙂

3. Rimmel London Lasting Finish By Kate Moss- shade 30:-

For their price these lipsticks really surprised me. The KateXRimmel collection is just what we all love. Its affordable, the packaging is chic and the quality is amazing.

I love berry shades so it will not come as a surprise when I  say my favourite LAsting Finish lipstick By Kate is the shade 30. Its a deep berry shade with glossy finish. The lipstick lasts for a good 7-8  hours without you having to touch up and is prices at just Rs275.

They are also easily available in India on Nykaa.

4. Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation:-

This is my  favourite foundation ever. I  have used many high end foundations but The Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation is just what I always go back to. If you have this, you do not have to spend all that extra cash for flawless coverage.

Priced at just around Rs 700 for 30 ml of product, this is a medium coverage foundation is just the best. It comes with SPF 20 for sun protection. If you wear makeup daily I would seriously urge you to try this affordable but amazing product.

5. Aryanveda Anti Wrinkle Gel Treatment Pen:-

I bought this product from the Nykaa Christmas sale and have been using it since then. I must say that Aryanveda is one skincare brand that I have really grown fond of. I have tried 6 different products from Aryanveda and have loved each and everyone of them.

With the stressful life and unhealthy diet it is quite easy to for your skin to age faster than you. On one of my skin care examinations my Skin care specialist pointed out the wrinkles being formed around my eyes. Well that wasn’t easy to see and was sad to notice how badly I had been ignoring my skin.

After using the Anti Wrinkle Gel  by Aryanveda for 4 months, I can confidently say that it does work. It has tightened the skin around my eyes and mouth and buying it is also not am hassle.

It is  priced at Rs 250 on Nykaa.

6. Maybelline COLORsensational Lip Liner:-

The Maybelline COLORsensational Lip Liner was an impulse buy as I was just looking for a nude lip liner. This lip liner helps keep your lipstick in place and prevents it from smudging. It contains a bit of glitter and i don’t usually like glitter on my lips but the shade 150 STELLAR PINK looks quite stunning with a bit of glitter.

The shade is nude so it looks can easily be covered up with any other lip color.

7. TONI & GUY heat protection mist:-

I hate boring and the thing that is capable of getting boring the fastest is you hair. I try a lot of new hairstyles and most of them require me using hair styling tools. Constant exposure to heat can take a heavy toll on the quality of your hair, so heat protection is a must.

Toni & Guy launched their hair products after their success in the salon business. Their heat protection mist is my most used product followed by their textured sea salt spray. The 150 ml spray bottle comes with very attractive packaging. The locking mechanism is super cool and helps the liquid from spilling out.

February favourites 2017

Hey Everyone,

Its the beginning of a new month, that means its time for me to share my absolute favourite products of the previous month 🙂

February was a month of new launches. A lot of brands released some amazing products. So, makeup and skin care departments is stocked with a great deal of stuff to try on.

The best thing about all the products mentioned below is that they are very affordable and easily available.

1.PAC Cosmetics Big Eyes Magical Mascara :-

This dual wand mascara has become my current obsession. I am addicted to it. The mascara comes with 2 wands on its either ends. One is a normal thick wand, which is resembles the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. The other wand is a thin and perfect for your lower lash line.

Its great to see these Indian brands coming up with such good quality and affordable makeup. PAC cosmetics has really surprised me their recent launches and I am looking forward to try them all.

2. Pins and Patches from Ginger:-

In my previous blog post I talked about the recent trend of pins, patches, badges and brooches. Lifestyle stores included many sets of pins and patches in their latest collection and of course a bought quite a few of them. 🙂

These pins are marked at the price of Rs 199 for a set of three. Its always cool to mix and match them to create your own style and who does not want to stay on trend.

3. Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose water:-

I have been using this skin care delight for a few months now.  Rose water is the best natural toner known to mankind. Kama Ayurveda very cleverly have taken advantage of this fact and placed some distilled rose water in a spray on bottle.

Another great thing about this product is that it comes in a travel size bottle. Whenever you feel fatigued just spray on some rose water and you will feel refreshed instantly. Trust me guys, I have tried it and it works. I also mix it with my face pack for great results.

4. L.A girl Pro conceal HD high definition concealer:-

OH MY GOD. This is  the best concealer ever. This is not one of those hyped products that turn out to be good for nothing. All the beauty gurus swear about it.

This concealer has a brush at the end which makes the application and blending very easy.  It is Crease-resistant, has opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture.

The best part about it is that its easy available on Nykaa and amazon and is very affordable.

5. B Blunt High Definition Curl Defining Leave-In Cream :-

Curling my hair have always been a problem for me. My hair were always a frizzy mess and the curls never stayed in place. The B Blunt Curl leave-in cream changed it all. It enhances curls & waves and also tames frizz.

The very cute pink bottle with a pump just makes things more attractive and convenient. I have been using this leave-in for the last 2 weeks. The nozzle has a lock system, so it’s travel friendly and does not release a lot of product.

6. NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in the shade BLACK CHERRY:-

I remember those times when dark red shades were only for grannies. Now, berries are the bold new thing. This NYX extra creamy lipstick has become my go to favourite. The lipstick lasts for around 12 hours and the formulation is super creamy.

January Favourites 2017!!

Hey Guys,

I know most of us have already screwed up our new year resolutions. If you haven’t three cheers to you 🙂 My two resolutions were to gain some weight and travel a lot more. Lets just say I have managed to loose a few pounds and have not even stepped into my balcony. So ya, I have failed big time.

Lets talk about the good things that I have discovered and come to love this new year. Here are my January Favourites.

1. Bath and Body Works French Lavender And Honey Body wash:-

This Body wash is simply divine. It contains Shea Butter, Vitamin C and Aloe Vera.

It provides luxuriously rich lather.

This amazing product from Bath and Body works leaves my skin feeling irresistably soft and beautifully fragranced.

2. The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner:-

This is my favourite toner so far. It is alcohol free toner with shots of vitamin E protection.

It is a clear, odorless liquid and is suitable for all skin types.

The bottle is of 200 ml and will last you for a good 4-5 months.

3. Combat Boots:-

All the girls will totally get me when I say that I am crazy about shoes. My mom thinks I have some kind of a weird addiction because I cannot stop buying them :p

These Combat Boots are my fashion favourite for this month. They go with almost all of my outfits, plus they are so warm 🙂

They are a great buy as they are super stylish and super comfy.

4. Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid eyeliner in shade ELECTRO SHOCK:-

I am that person who would not walk out of her house without an eyeliner on. Hell, I sometimes apply dramatic cat eye liner and roll at home in my pajamas.

But coloured eyeliners was a territory I was always afraid to step in. This Electric blue eyeliner has stolen my heart. I love it to bits.

The formula is so nice that I ended up picking up the same eyeliner in 2 more shades. Looking forward to try them on.

5. Colourpop Cosmetics Blush in the shade Never Been Kissed:-

Colourpop is a brand that you will totally get addicted to. I bought quite a few products from colourpop and after using them I am hooked to their website.

This Super Shock Cheeks blush is a light pink shade with orange undertones. Its perfect for fair skin tone.

From the name of the product (Never Been Kissed) to the packaging everything is just so quirky, fun and addictive.

6.  Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix in the shade Leather:-

Its a no brainer that another colourpop product has made it to my favourites list.

This matte lip stick is dark purple in colour, Matte in finish and looks gorgeous.

I find the Lippie stix by colourpop to be the greatest idea ever. The packaging is just so perfect. The design of the bullet is on point (I can apply the lipstick without a mirror).

The shade Leather is a major beauty trend right now and let me tell you girlfriends, I am totally killing it 😉

7. Fresho! Signature Dehydrated Candid fruit (Fruit and Nuts):-

Its time for the snacks. Sleeping and munching are two things I do the best. I am so good at these two activities that instead of calling them hobbies I consider them my talents.

I work late into the night and was always snacking on unhealthy but very tasty stuff like potato chips, chocolates, ice creams and Cheetos. I bought this packet of dehydrated nuts and fruits to start snacking healthy and I am hooked.

They are yummy and healthy. To be honest  I do fish out the apricots and the cranberries but that is the way we humans behave 😀

That is all with my favourite stuff from the month of January. I urge you to try each and every product in this list as I  guarantee you will love them.

October 2016 3rd Anniversary My Envy Box

This month’s box is plain white in color with the envy box logo in the center and turns three printed underneath. The reason why the box is plain is because there is a color me contest going on where in you have to do something fun and creative on the box in order to win loads of prizes.

Products received:-

1.      AYCA- Jasmine Body Wash:- (100ml for INR 438/-)

This is a mild, foaming gel cleanser for all skin types. It’s a natural product made from coconut derivatives. Coconut is said to be very nourishing for your skin and it also helps break down makeup. Therefore I am excited to try it out and see how it works out.

2.      Forest Essentials- Facial Cleansing Paste:- (15g for INR 925/-)

Forest essential is one of my favorite brands. This cleansing paste contains ingredients like Almonds, Pistachio, fresh Turmeric, Buttermilk, Floral waters, organic Honey and fresh Aloe leaf juice.

3.      Vert- Loose Powder:- (10g for INR 1250/-)

This is the only makeup product in the box. It is a handmade loose powder made out of natural ingredients like rose petals and French clay. This versatile powder can be used as eye shadow, highlighter or a blush.

4.      VICHY Ideal White Brightening Deep Cleansing Foam:- (15ml for INR 230/-)

VICHY is one of the most trusted and most widely used skin care brand. This cleansing foam leaves the skin feeling refreshed, flawless, luminous and radiant.

 

5.      Nertia- Nail Art :- (1 pack for INR 80/-)

These are basically nail stickers that are being marketed as dry nail polish that lasts up to 7 days.

As this was the third year anniversary box I also received 3 extra sample sized products which are as follows:

1.      BABOR – HSR lifting:-

This is an anti aging extra firming cream.

2.      Skin Yoga- Neem Purifier:-

This is a post workout anti bacterial body purifier.

3.      BIODERMA- Photoderm AKN Mat SPF 30:-

This is a sunscreen lotion sample for oily skin.

MY VIEWS OF THIS MONTH’S BOX:-

There was a lot of anticipation regarding this month’s box as we were told in the emails that October envy box will be full of surprises and we will receive 8 products in the box.

Also I am quite excited about the COLOUR ME CONTEST. We basically have to be creative and color the white box to stand a chance to win products worth Rs 3000/-.

Talking about the products I am extremely excited about trying the Forest Essentials Facial Cleansing Paste, Vert Loose Powder and VICHY Ideal White Brightening Deep Cleansing Foam. The AYCA Jasmine Body Wash smells amazing. I am a bit skeptical about Nertia nail art as the idea of a nail sticker lasting 7 days does not sound right to me.

About the extra 3 products BABOR HSR lifting cream is the most necessary thing for me as I just entered my late twenties a few days ago. Skin Yoga products have never disappointed me and I am sure this won’t disappoint me too. The Bioderma sunscreen was no surprise to me as I have literally received it in all my boxes.

To conclude the October My Envy Box is something you cannot afford to miss. It is just spectacular.

My views on this month’s box:-
I was very excited for this month’s box as they were mixing up things this month. They included a piece of jewellery and I quite like the coin necklace in my box. I have been having a lot of hair fall issues this monsoon and was excited to recieve the Rustic Art Aloe Shampoo. The Oriflame Illuskin Blush is very pigmented and looks amazing.
The Fuschia Anti aging night cream smells awful though and I’m scared to get it anywhere near my face. I have used Fuschia products earlier and have really liked them. The Biobloom orange lip balm also doesn’t excite me. It feels like a petroleum jelly that only stays on your lips for few minutes.

Overall I’m very satisfied with my GloBox subscription service and will definitely renew my subscription.

Summer festival look and essentials

Hello everyone,
Summer is here and it’s the festive time!! We all love fashion, music and a mix of all that jazz.
I bring to you all the essentials that you need to look fabulous and chill at a summer music festival.

1) Sunnies:-
It’s summers and the sun is shinning high. I’m sure you girls want to enjoy this season instead of walking partially blinded in the sun. Wear a cool pair of sunglasses preferably a one with bright and colourful frames. They protect you from UV rays and are the coolest accessory available.

2) Caps/Hats:-
Hats and caps are the cutest head accessories possible. There are a huge variety, designs and colors available to match any possible outfit. It also shields you from the harsh harmful sun rays.

3) Footwear:-
Your feet need all the rest they can get as you have to do a lot of walking. Choose your most comfortable pair of heels or nice boots. Wedges or block heels would be a very good option

4) Accessories:-
The best accessories for a summer festival are hats and sunglasses as discussed earlier. If you are all about accessories go for a bunch of bracelets and a choker. Don’t go for a statement piece of jewellery as it would be hot and not comfortable at all.

5) Clothing:-
The temperatures are going to be hitting the roof so it’s the perfect time to pull out those shorts, skirts, backless tops and short dresses. A cute little flowy Bohemian dress would be great for the day. For colors it would be better to go for whites and pastel colors. Don’t go for dark colors as they absorb a lot of heat.

Also remember to keep yourself hydrated as this is the only thing that will keep you pumped up the entire day.

My views on this month’s box:-
I have to say I’m impressed by how closely the beauty expert reads the beauty profile. All the products that I received are in accordance to my skin type and needs. The box continues to send only full size products which is a thumbs up.
GloBox also introduced me to some new brands like Aryanveda and Bio Bloom that I had never heard of or tried. I have been loving Aryanveda products ever since I tried them. They smell amazing and are extremely good on my skin.
I loved my July,2016 GloBox and now I can hardly wait for the August one!!

THREE WAYS TO STYLE A LONG MAXI SIDE SLIT TOP!!

Hey everyone,
I bought this cool Long maxi side slit top from FAB ALLEY and I simply love how versatile it is. You can just go crazy styling this top.

In this post I’m going to style this top in three different ways. So, let’s get going…(before I start, I would like to let all of you know that this post is not in collaboration with any brand)

1) AS A TOP-

In this look I paired the top with simple denim shorts that I bought from VERO MODA. I chose to wear a pair of sequence sneakers with it. To complete the look I wore a simple thin beaded necklace. This is a great look for a brunch or a movie or just a fun day out with friends.

2) AS A DRESS-

In this look I simply made the top look like a belt by wearing a thin waist belt over the top. If the slit is too high for you, you can always use safety pins.
This dress can be paired with heels to give it a night gown feel. As you can add in some bling to boost your swag.

3) AS A SKIRT-

Wear another top to cover the upper portion and use the lower portion as a long side slit maxi dress. I have accessoried this look with a scarf from accessorize. I tied the scarf around my neck in the form of a bow. This is a perfect date look.
